Inside the region of Axarquia, is Canillas de Aceituno, part of the Natural Park of Sierra Tejeda, among olive groves, fig trees, almond trees and vineyards.
Each year, the last Sunday of April one of the best known of all the province of Malaga, "The Day Morcilla" gastronomic festivals, where more than 300 kilos of this product are distributed is celebrated, highly appreciated by its peculiar seasoning and flavor, accompanied by an excellent local wine.
The goat from the wood oven or in almond sauce, gazpacho with grapes, garlic soup, crumbs, fennel stew and succulent pot are other dishes that make up the vast cuisine of this picturesque village.
